Teachers' Voices: A Multi-Year Collaborative
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month to support teachers beyond their first year of teaching. The agenda folllows a pattern similar to the NEW Teachers' Collaborative, including two co-facilitators, but allows greater input from the group members. At each meeting you can expect:
- Time to discuss your current concerns and celebrations in teaching
- Time to discuss relevant issues to the practice of teaching
- Time to write reflectively to a prompt
- Time to work towards an inquiry question
Members take turns bringing in writing prompts, readings and snacks. Each teacher has his or her own inquiry project which will be pursued and developed throughout the school year. Some projects may grow into a written article. The group works to support the efforts of the individuals and their projects.
